Pamela began her working life as a teacher but decided she wanted “something more creative” so she enrolled in a Masters Degree in creative writing. The result has been a series of books she calls rural fiction. “My novels feature feisty women, tangled family relationships and a healthy dose of romance”. Her first novel, Blackwattle Lake was published in 2012 and her most recent book, The Crossroads was released in 2016.
She says she is “proud to be a Writer Ambassador for Room To Read, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes literacy and gender equality in developing countries”. She teaches creative writing and says: “When I’m not writing I waste as much time as possible riding my handsome quarter horses, trying to get through my reading pile and attempting to perfect my yoga poses”.
